Progressive Sanctification
Introduction
Progressive Sanctification is the process of becoming increasingly more like Jesus Christ. Sanctification is frequently described as one of the stages of Salvation, the other two being Justification and Glorification. A fuller exposition of the sanctification process is found in 2 Peter 1:3-15.
Progressive Sanctification is the process of becoming increasingly more like Jesus Christ.
Progressive means that it is a process, not an instant change. It will take a lifetime of learning and it will not be completed until the Day of the Lord, when we will be in heaven with Jesus Christ.

Hesed and Emet
Full of Favor and Faithfulness
God abounds in steadfast love (hesed) and faithfulnes (emet), just like Jesus is full of grace and truth. And we must bind these traits around our neck and write them on the tablet of our hearts.
Psalm 108:4 For your steadfast love [hesed] is great above the heavens; your faithfulness [emet] reaches to the clouds.
David mentions two of God’s attributes, steadfast love, and faithfulness, and he says that these attributes are incredibly large, larger than he could ever measure. The Hebrew for these two words are ‘hesed’ (or checed), and ‘emet’ (or emeth). These two words appear very often together in the Old Testament. In fact, they are listed together in one of the most important passages of the entire Bible, where God reveals Himself to Moses. Remember when Moses was with God on the mountain and asked if he could see God’s glory? God told him that no human could see His face and live, so God would pass before Moses, but would cover his eyes.

How AI music helped FCC Awana to increase memorization 65%
Faith Community Church in Lynden has been running Awana for many years. Using AI to create songs for each T&T verse helped kids increase their Scripture Memorization with 65!
At Faith Community Church in Lynden, we know that music is great for helping kids memorize Scripture. GT and the Halo Express was instrumental for many of us to hide God's Word deeply into our hearts and we still remember many of the songs and Scriptures that we learned as children that way.
Ever since becoming Awana Commanders at FCC, we have been keen to use music to help kids memorize their verses. Sometimes we found existing songs on YouTube and we would send the link to the parents in our weekly emails. Other times our senior pastor would write songs himself and perform them on the guitar for the kids. He even recorded some of them and put them on YouTube!

Why have a daily quiet time?
Lessons from Solomon
What are some good reasons to have a daily quiet time? Improve our relationship with God and finish well. This we can learn from the wisest man who ever lived, king Solomon.
Why should we have a daily quiet time? That is a good question. It is a significant investment to spend every single day some 30-60 minutes in God’s Word. We are all busy and our days are already overflowing with activities and responsibilities. So why should we pile even more on our packed plates?
The specific answer may be different for different people, but the underlying reason is probably the same for everybody. Spending time with our Heavenly Father is simply more valuable than anything else in life. Reading His Word and communicating with Him through prayer helps us get the right perspective. He is more than able to make up the sacrifice of time we give to Him, and through His Spirit we get filled with joy, peace, and love. That is the main reason we should have a daily quiet time, to get closer to God on a daily basis and improve our relationship with Him.

Quiet Time color themes
Introducing new color themes for Quiet Time
Quiet Time was originally designed with a blue color scheme. Blue is a color of trust and a calming color. God made the sky blue and most of us get calm and happy when we see a clear blue sky. But we learned that different people do prefer different colors for their favorite tools. And so, in addition to giving our users the choice between dark and light mode, we now also introduced all kinds of different color schemes.
Changing your color scheme is very easy. Just go to Quiet Time, log in, and select the account icon in the top right, and then Preferences. For the time being, this is only available for the Quiet Time website, the mobile app will be updated later this year.
