Get Involved!
The Quiet Time website and mobile app are developed by volunteers and owned by a WA non-profit, also called Quiet Time. We do this work to glorify God and make Him look good in the eyes of those who use Quiet Time. We do not receive any money for our work, but do hope to be rewarded eternally as faithful servants of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
If you believe in our mission and share our faith, and want to contribute to our project, we would love your help! We can use your help in any of the following areas:
Languages: We want to make Quiet Time available in more languages, but that requires translation work and the availability of an open source Bible translation in that language. We are using automated tools to translate all Quiet Time content, but we need people to verify these translations.
Assets: We are using AI to generate memorization songs and pictures that we use in our read plans. Even though AI does the bulk of the work, we still need people to create the prompts and check the quality of the output.
Using and Testing: We love to get more input from our users about what works and what not, what is helpful and what not, and what other features and functions we could add to Quiet Time. So we are looking for people to just use the website and/or mobile app, and give us feedback.
Design: We need people with strong design skills to improve the current version of Quiet Time and help design new parts.
Training: One way to bless other people is to organize a Quiet Time workshop, to help people get the importance of having a daily quiet time, and to use Quiet Time to make their quiet times richer. We have the training materials available but are looking for people to run these workshops.
Groups: Quiet Time has Prayer Groups and we are developing Bible Reading and Bible Study groups as well. If you want to use Quiet Time for your group, please reach out to us.
Coding: We are looking for experienced software developers to help improve our code, add new features, and improve our reliability. All work is done by volunteers and if you want to volunteer as well, please reach out to us.
Pray: The prayer of a righteous person is very effective, so we are always looking for people that are willing to pray for the project. Our main request is that our work is pleasing to the Lord and beneficial for His people.
Donate: We try hard to keep our costs very law, but still there are costs involved in running and hosting the website and mobile app. We are transparent about our finances, see our blog where we at times post status and financial updates. Legal: If you have legal experience, we could use your help ensuring that our practices and policies comply with the legal requirements of all the jurisdictions where Quiet Time is used.
Product management: We can always use more help from experienced product champions, to analyze current usage patterns, help identify areas for improvement and create design requirements, and help with overall product planning and management.
